ABOUT US

Jonna Jinton Sweden is a Swedish, family-run business founded by artist Jonna Jinton. Based in Northern Sweden, we create Nordic jewelry, art, and design inspired by nature, Scandinavian traditions, and the landscapes of the North.

Our jewelry and artworks are rooted in a deep connection to the Nordic landscape. Each piece carries a story, symbol, or feeling inspired by the forests, mountains, seasons, and traditions around us.

We are a small, independent team where each person brings their own skills and creativity to our work. Together, we create pieces that connect Nordic nature, craftsmanship, and contemporary Scandinavian design.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

MY ART

A few years after moving north, I found myself longing for another way to express what words and photographs could not. That’s when painting entered my life, like a new language. While my photography often captures the visible world, painting became a way to give form to the invisible: the feeling of winter storms, the distant song of ice across a frozen lake, the breath of earth in summer rain.

I work with acrylics, watercolors, and sometimes pigments gathered directly from nature. Ash from my own wood stove, crushed stones, chalk, and sand – each holding a memory of the land.

Some paintings are created entirely from these pigments, their brushstrokes carrying the raw imprint of earth and fire. The seasons are often guiding my inspiration. In the dark winter nights in my art studio, my paintings sing of ice, snow, and storm winds. In summer, they hum with the colors of warmth, forest soil, and misty mornings.

My original paintings are available through auctions and direct releases in my webshop, as well as in our physical store in Sollefteå. I also occasionally offer artworks to collectors through personal contact.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Sometimes, when I’m standing alone in the forest with my camera, I witness a moment so magical I almost loose my breath. And I think to myself; if I hadn’t been here right now, no one in the world would have seen this. That’s why I photograph. To let that moment live on.

My interest in photography began already in childhood, when my mother brought home a digital camera from her workplace. But everything truly fell into place years later, when I moved 1000 kilometers north, to a small forest village surrounded by misty lakes and ancient silence.

There, something awakened in me. I was mesmerized by what nature revealed each day, and I felt an urge to capture it, to share the beauty I saw, so others could feel it too. Photography became my way of expressing wonder.

My photographs are available as Fine Art Prints in our webshop and physical store, printed with great care by the family-run company Qpix in Gothenburg. I also have a wallpaper collection available at photowall.com, turning photographs into immersive spaces of stillness and light.
