Carved through centuries, the runes carry echoes of the ancient North.
Small symbols of meaning, strength and transformation, now shaped in silver to wear close to the heart.
Runes are among the oldest symbols of the North. Long before our modern alphabet, they were carved into stone, wood, metal and bone by Germanic and Nordic people. They were seen as signs of language, memory, protection and meaning.
The oldest known runic alphabet is called the Elder Futhark. It consists of 24 runes, each with its own name and sound. Over time, the runes have also come to carry deeper symbolic meanings, often connected to nature, strength, movement, transformation, protection and the mysteries of life.
For this collection, we have chosen twelve of my favorite runes from the Elder Futhark and created them as silver necklaces. Small ancient symbols carved into a silver stone to wear close to the heart.
Choose the rune that calls to you.
As a reminder of what you wish to strengthen,
invite, release or remember.
With your necklace, you will also receive a small booklet telling the story of the runes and the meaning behind the symbol you have chosen.
Jonna is wearing chain size 40 on the photos.

If you are not used to wearing a necklace, it might feel a little hard to know which size to choose. But frankly, it's quite easy to find out by yourself before making a purchase.
Please see our video instruction below for a guide to find the right size for your necklace.
We at Jonna Jinton Sweden only use nickel-free 925 sterling silver. Sterling silver oxidizes (darken) over time due to the exposure of different environments. If you take care of your silver jewelry, it will oxidize in a slower pace and keep its luster for a longer period of time.
To prevent both oxidation and abrasion, please follow the advices below:
- When you are not wearing your jewelry, store it in the enclosed box.
- Clean the jewelry with cloth after each use to get rid of grease, salts, makeup etc.
- Don’t wear the jewelry while sleeping, doing the dishes or taking a bath.
- Keep your jewelry away from chemicals, salt- and chlorinated water.
- Clean your jewelry from time to time with silver polish.
Additional cleaning instructions for gemstone jewelry*
- Let soak in warm water (not hot) with a small amount of dish soap.
- Clean and scrub with a soft brush.
- Rinse in running warm water (not hot) and dispense with a piece of cloth.
* This does not apply to the Selenite crystal. It's classed as a soft mineral and should be kept dry.

The Summer Solstice, occurring June 21st in the Northern Hemisphere, marks the longest day of the year and the official start of summer. This astronomical event happens when the Earth's axial tilt is most inclined towards the Sun, resulting in the Sun reaching its highest position in the sky at noon. As a result, the days surrounding the solstice have the most daylight hours, providing an extended period of warmth and light that has been celebrated by cultures throughout history.
The summer solstice is a time of wonder and enchantment. It marks the longest day of the year, when the sun lingers in the sky, bathing the world in its warm, golden light.
This is a celebration of light, renewal, and the powerful energy of the sun. It’s a time to honor the natural world, to connect with its rhythms, and to soak in its abundant energy. Embracing the solstice means welcoming this radiant energy into our lives, allowing it to inspire us and fill us with a sense of wonder and joy.
